Big data is not about the data, but rather how it is used to help us make decisions and make improvements in our practices. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Deborah West will address the challenges in learning analytics from an institutional, academic/teaching and student perspective. She will bring together her findings from various projects to explore:
- Various stakeholder perspectives on institutional readiness and the use of learning analytics
- Key challenges to meet needs of various stakeholders
- How to understand, translate and apply the insights gathered from research
